Only paying Guests may enter the House. No members of the public or Visitors are permitted. Access is restricted to ensure the safety of our Guests and to ensure that we maintain a quiet and relaxing environment for our Guests while they enjoy the house amenities exclusively.

Check in is from 2 until 5 pm daily. Late check in is permitted ONLY by prior arrangement with your host. You are also welcome to bag drop earlier than 2 pm if you wish, by arrangement with your Host.

Check out is at 10:00 am daily. Late check outs are discouraged, however should you wish to stay on in the house a flat fee of R500 is payable allowing you to stay on in the house after vacating the room at 10:00 am.

Smoking is not permitted in the house, in the rooms or on the balconies. We have a designated smoking area in the car park in front of the house.

Unfortunately we do not allow any children under the age of 18. Gull on the Bay is more suited to couples and single business people.

Honesty Bar - The bar is available to Guests until 22:00 daily. We request Guests to respect silence in the house beyond this point as other Guests settle in for the night and may already be sleeping.

Gym - Access to the gym is from 10:00 am until 22:00 pm daily.

Sauna and Steam room - Steam room and Sauna is prepared by your host on request 1 hour prior to your requested time. Sauna and steam room may be used from 10:30 am until 7 pm daily.

Pool - The pool may be accessed at anytime of the day until 22:00.

Main Balcony seating - the main balcony can be accessed anytime until 22:00 daily.

Breakfast is included in your room rate. For holiday makers breakfast begins from 8:30 until 10:00. For Business people, an earlier breakfast time can be requested from 7:00 am daily. Unfortunately due to the preparation time required by your host, breakfast will not be offered prior to 7:00 am.

Your Suite is turned daily with fresh towels, soaps, toilet paper and general cleaning. For long staying Guests bedding is replaced every 3 days.

Gull on the Bay is completely self sufficient and produces its own Solar and borehole water. The house also sells electricity back to the grid. During load shedding all lights, WiFi, fridges and hot water will be on and available. During times of load shedding and the house is on its own power, Guests are requested not to use the coffee machines, air conditioning units or hair dryers.

We ask Guests not to lie on our white percale bedding with suntan lotion on as this permanently stains the bedding yellow . Similarly, Ladies please do not use our white towels to remove makeup as the oil residue from makeup permanently stains the towels. We further ask all Guests to refrain from disposing of any sanitary wear other than toilet paper into our toilets as this leads to sewer blockages.
